nice rod but it's delicate
Have bought two of these, both have snapped on the top section of the rod! amazon have been great and replaced/refunded me. These rods do have a nice feel to them and are quite powerful. The reason the rods broke (i believe) is due to their 4 piece nature, maybe 3 pieces would have been better. All in all a nice travel rod, just take note that the 2 piece may be a bit tougher. P.s. the finish is pretty good looking for a budget rod

Best Travel Pole
I fly to California every year to fish for trout in the June Lake area. This pole travels well in my suit case and provides the lenght for those long casts.
Great basic pack rod.
I just purchased my second Fenwick Eagle Gt pack rod. I used the other for around 4 or 5 yrs. It was great. I slipped and fell in Alaska this year and used it to break my fall. Unfortunately, it didn't survive my 240 lbs. The rod has a nice feel to it, especially for a pack rod. It will be my rod of choice for next year's Alaska trip.
